
Rockets Blast Past Giants 6-2

Vancouver BC - Cody Almond scored three times for the Kelowna Rockets as they handed the Vancouver Giants just their second loss in regulation at the Pacific Coliseum this season, a 6-2 setback at the Rink on Renfrew Friday night.
Kelowna also had goals from Colin Long, Mikael Backlund and Lucas Bloodoff in the victory, while Vancouver had goals from Garry Nunn and Craig Cunningham in the loss. Tyson Sexsmith takes the loss, allowing 5 goals on 15 shots as the Rockets made the most of their opportunities. Jamie Tucker mopped up in the third period, only allowing one goal in just his first relief appearance of the season.
Vancouver falls to 48-6-1-3 on the season, but get a chance to get right back on track as they will visit the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday Night in the Thompson Valley.
