Vancouver Giants News Release

Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants announced on Tuesday that the hockey club has traded the second overall pick in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft along with a 2016 third round pick (50th overall) and a 2016 seventh round pick (147th overall) to the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for the third overall pick in this year's draft along with a 2016 second round pick (36th overall), 2016 sixth round pick (113th overall) and a 2017 seventh round pick.

"This trade gives us another high pick in the second round," said Giants Director of Player Personnel Jason Ripplinger. "It's a move that makes sense for us because we believe that we can still get the top player on our list with the third overall pick."
