Giants Announce Management Change

December 8, 2015 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Vancouver Giants News Release

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Giants Majority Owner Ron Toigo announced on Tuesday that Executive Vice President & General Manager Scott Bonner has accepted a senior management position with The Sports Corporation. However, Bonner will stay on with the Giants to help with the transition as the club searches for a new General Manager.

"Scott and I have worked together for 26 years in the WHL with both the Tri-City Americans and Vancouver Giants," said Toigo. "We have had many more great years than we've had down ones. We've won a Memorial Cup, Ed Chynoweth Cup, and many BC Division banners. To say Scott will be missed is an understatement. Scott will stay on for the rest of the season and will be there to assist with the transition, once a replacement is found. We all believe that this group of players can have a good year, and our goal is to have a winning season and have success in the playoffs to have Scott leave on a winning note."

Bonner will work with the President of The Sports Corporation, Gerry Johannson. The Sports Corporation is one of the most influential sports agencies in hockey with clients like Carey Price, Ryan Getzlaf, Brent Seabrook, Brendan Gallagher and Milan Lucic to name a few.

The Giants will be back in action on Friday, December 11th, for Ugly Christmas Sweater Night at the Pacific Coliseum! For tickets, visit TicketLeader.ca or call 604.4.GIANTS (604.444.2687).
