Vancouver Giants News Release
Jason Reese scored a pair of goals Friday night to lead the Vancouver Giants to a big 7-0 win over the Chilliwack Bruins at the North Delta Sun God Arena in WHL pre-season action. It was Vancouver's 6th straight win in the exhibition campaign.
The Giants also got goals on the night from returnees Michal Repik, David Rutherford, Kyle Lamb, and Jonathon Blum, as well as rookie forward Craig Cunningham. Netminder Tyson Sexsmith didn't have a lot of work turning aside all ten shots he faced from the Bruins.
Vancouver went 2/15 on the power play and a perfect 10-for-10 on the penalty kill. The Giants put up 40 shots in the game, which was hi-lited by a second period margin of 17-0!
The Giants wrap up the pre-season Saturday night by playing the Bruins in Chilliwack. Face off is 7:00pm at Prospera Centre.
