Week In Review - The Flint Generals earned four of a possible six points in UHL action last week. On Wednesday morning in Kalamazoo, the Generals defeated the Wings 4-2. Mike Kinnie figured in all goals with the three goal hat trick and one assist. Bobby Reynolds had one goal and two assists. Goaltender Dan McIntyre stopped 29 of 31 shots for the victory. On Friday night, the Generals defeated the visiting Missouri River Otters 6-2. Flint shared the offensive explosion as six different players scored. John DiPace scored the game winning goal. Jim Duhart led the charge with one goal and two assists. Rob Valicevic and Kevin Miller chipped in with two assists each. Dan McIntyre stopped 38 of 40 shots for his second consecutive victory of the weekend. On Sunday afternoon, the Flint Generals dropped a 5-2 decision against the visiting Motor City Mechanics. John DiPace and Mike Kinnie scored for the Generals.

Sherwood/UHL Player of the Week Nominee - Right wing Mike Kinnie is our nominee for the Sherwood/UHL Player of the Week ending March 6, 2005. In three games, Kinnie had five goals and two assists for seven points and was plus two. Kinnie recorded the three goal hat trick and had the game winning goal at Kalamazoo. He scored in all three games last week.

Southern Sports Supply/UHL Goaltender of the Week Nominee - Dan McIntyre is our nominee for the Southern Sports Supply/UHL Goaltender of the Week ending March 6, 2005. McIntyre was the goaltender of record in all three games last week posting a record of 2-1. He turned in two solid performances in the victories against Kalamazoo and Missouri. For the week, he stopped 78 of 85 shots for a save percentage of .917.

Wednesday morning is the ninth and final regular season meeting against the Fury. Muskegon's leading scorers are right wing/Assistant Coach, Robin Bouchard (32g, 44a, 76 pts.), left wing Brant Blackned (22g, 49a, 71 pts.) and center/Assistant Coach, Jeff Nelson (17g, 54a, 71 pts.). Left wing David Ambler (244) leads the Fury in penalty minutes. Last Friday, the Fury lost in a shootout at Kalamazoo 3-2. On Sunday, Muskegon defeated the visiting Quad City Mallards 3-1. This weekend, the Fury host Richmond on Friday and Elmira on Saturday.

Elmira Jackals (21-37-5, 47 pts.) Fourth Place, Eastern Division, Fourteenth Overall.
Friday is the fourth and final meeting of the regular season against the Jackals. Flint is 2-0-1 against Elmira this season. Elmira's leading scorers are right wing Jason Sessa (32g, 27a, 59 pts.) left wing Jamie Thompson (19g, 29a, 48 pts.) and center Jeff Antonovich (14g, 32a, 46 pts.). Left wing Derek Campbell (161) leads the team in penalty minutes. Former Philadelphia Flyer player Dave "The Hammer" Schultz is the new bench boss in Elmira. Last week, the Jackals posted a record of 2-2. Elmira defeated Adirondack 3-2 at Glens Falls on Wednesday and then suffered a 7-2 defeat at home against the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday. The Jackals dropped a 2-1 decision against the visiting Port Huron Beacons on Saturday before pounding Richmond 9-4 at home on Sunday. This weekend, Elmira will play at Muskegon on Saturday and at Rockford on Sunday.

Richmond Riverdogs (28-31-5, 61 pts.) Third Place, Eastern Division, Tenth Overall.
Saturday night is the fourth and final regular season meeting against the Riverdogs. Richmond's leading scorer is left wing David Hymovitz (28g, 51a, 79 pts.). Right wing Trevor Senn (215) is the team leader in penalty minutes. Richmond posted a record of 1-3 last weekend playing three of four games on the road. Last Tuesday, the Riverdogs were shutout at home by the visiting Fort Wayne Komets 3-0. On Wednesday night, the Jackals defeated the Adirondack Frostbite 3-2 in a shootout at Glens Falls Civic Center for their lone victory during the weekend. On Saturday, Richmond lost at Danbury 4-2. On Sunday, the ‘Dogs were victims of a 9-4 thrashing at Elmira. This week, the Riverdogs are at Adirondack on Wednesday night at Muskegon on Friday. After the game at Flint on Saturday, Richmond wraps up the weekend with a game at Fort Wayne on Sunday.

Record: (27-25-11, 65 pts.) Third Place, Central Division. Eighth Place (Tie) Overall.
Leading scorers: Bobby Reynolds, (23g, 55a, 78pts.), Rob Valicevic (29g, 42a, 71 pts.) and Mike Kinnie (33g, 33a, 66pts.) Penalty minutes leader is Kris Waltze (275). Kinnie leads all rookies in points (66), goals (33), power play goals (15) and shooting percentage (.213). Reynolds is currently third in league scoring and only four points from the top spot. Valicevic has five short-handed goals, second best in the UHL. General are currently fifth overall on the power play and seventh overall in penalty killing percentage. Jim Duhart is 12 games shy of career game #800. Bobby Reynolds is three points away from career point #900.
