Generals Snap Petes Streak in First PMC Appearance

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes' four-game win streak came to an end on Thursday, falling 4-1 to the division rival Oshawa Generals at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.

After a scoreless first period, Oshawa put up two goals in the middle frame. They went up 3-0 early in the final period before Detroit Red Wings prospect Cole Fraser scored his second goal of the season on the power play. The Generals scored an empty net goal to seal the victory.

Pavel Gogolev and Semyon Der-Arguchintsev earned assists on Peterborough's only goal.

Hunter Jones, who was recently named to Team OHL for the upcoming CIBC Canada Russia Series along with Winnipeg Jets prospect Declan Chisholm, stopped 40 of 43 shots in the loss.

The Petes will visit the Mississauga Steelheads on Friday, October 19 at 7:00pm, and will look for revenge against the Generals on Sunday in Oshawa at 6:05pm. They'll then visit the Niagara IceDogs on Wednesday, October 24 at 7:00pm before returning home on Thursday, October 25 at 7:05pm to host 2018 first overall pick Quinton Byfield and the Sudbury Wolves.
