Bulldogs Lose 7-5 in Sudbury

HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Bulldogs three game winning streak came to an end Friday night in Sudbury as the Wolves built up a lead and held on for a 7-5 win.

Isaac Nurse (4) scored six seconds into the 1st period but the Wolves bit back, scoring five consecutive goals to take a 5-1 lead.

The Bulldogs made a game of things, pulling to within one at 5-4 after two periods, but a Sudbury goal twelve seconds into the 3rd period proved to be the difference.

The Bulldogs outshot Sudbury 39-32 and went 2-for-2 on the power play, being paced by Brandon Saigeon (7), Arthur Kaliyev (13), Matthew Strome (4) and MacKenzie Entwistle (7) who joined Nurse on the scoresheet.

The Bulldogs fall to 7-4-1 while Sudbury shakes off two consecutive losses to improve to 7-4.

The Bulldogs finish the road trip Saturday night in Sault Ste. Marie with the next home game Friday October 26th at 7 pm against the Oshawa Generals at FirstOntrio Centre.
