Erie Otters News Release
OSHAWA, ON - The Otters headed to Oshawa on Saturday to finish their three-in-three weekend, where they took on the Generals. Danyk Drouin and Tyler Tullio got things going for Oshawa just four minutes in, giving them an early 2-0 lead. Erie would answer late in the period with a Danial Singer wrist shot that bounced off of the post and behind Oshawa goaltender Kyle Keyser to bring the Otters within one.
In the second, Danial Singer scored his second goal of the game to tie the game at two. Brendan Hoffman followed this up with a goal of his own to put the Otters ahead 3-2. Two consecutive successful powerplay chances put the Generals ahead 4-3 going into the final frame, with goals from Brandon Saigon and Nando Eggenberger.
In the third, Erie sustained heavy pressure in the Oshawa zone, but Keyser and the General defense held strong to beat the Otters and snap their four game win streak 4-3.
The Otters will travel to Windsor on Thursday where they will take on the Spitfires at 7:05PM.
