Greensboro Generals News Release

GREENSBORO GENERALS

The Generals defeated the Roanoke Express 4-1 on Sunday in the final game of an eight game road trip. The Express scored just 1:24 into the game, but it would be the only goal Daniel Berthiaume would allow all night against his former club. Sam Ftorek tied the game in the first period, and Bryan Richardson scored the eventual game-winning goal midway through the second period. Mark Turner added to the lead minutes after Richardson's tally, and Matt Turek put the game away with a third period goal. Berthiaume finished the night with 31 saves to earn the victory.

ATLANTIC CITY BOARDWALK BULLIES

The Boardwalk Bullies crushed the Reading Royals 9-3 last Saturday night in Reading. Scott Matzka and J. F. Caudron gave Atlantic City a 2-0 edge after one period, and the lead swelled to 4-0 on scores from Dave Reid and Jimmy Henkel. Reading turned the tables, however, notching three unanswered goals to cut the deficit to 4-3 with 14 minutes left in the game. The Boardwalk Bullies then caught fire, scoring five goals in the final twelve minutes of the contest, including a natural hat trick from Chris Paradise. Kevin Colley and Joe Talbot scored the other goals. RECENT TRANSACTIONS
