General Disappointment…

Ottawa 67's News Release

What a game... We were down... we were up... we were tied... then we were just down. Great goals from Monahan, Giftopoulos and Smith, but the Generals took one from our barn...they dropped us 5-3. The last one was an empty netter, but it was still a Bank Street Blues kinda night.

Around the rink though, we had a blast! Tonight was Broadway toque night.

The first two thousand kids through the doors got a sweet 67's barberpole toque. Tonight we really looked like the barberpole nation! I played trivia with Oliver during the first period and he was like a 67's Jedi trivia master! He totally earned the seat upgrade from Tamarak. Those seats on the glass are really comfy...they even have drink holders. (That way you don't spill when you jump up to celebrate goals)

The first intermission four of our ringette players worked hard in the Broadway drink tray race. Four girls, four glasses of water and one tray each. One of them tried to cheat, but we caught her at it. She'd glued her cups to the tray! Can you believe it...like we wouldn't find that out.

I also got to meet my own personal "mini-me"! Gracie kat was there for the game and she is a 67's trivia Jedi too. (I think if we asked her what Shane Prince had for dinner last Tuesday she'd know!) She also does the best impression of me. Check out her video audition to be the 67's Junior Reporter. She's great!

It's getting closer and closer to Christmas...just 29 shopping days left! *gulp* Maybe while you're out doing some of that shopping you can grab a stuffed toy or two for the Teddy Bear toss. It all for Toy Mountain and it's coming up next Friday, December 2nd. As soon as our boys score their first goal, we toss. It's always a lot of fun and its fun for a great cause. Two of my favourite things!!

It's always a great time around the rink, win or lose, and I really hope you'll come out and join us soon!

As I always say, it's the best family entertainment in town!

PS...Don't forget next Friday's game, December 2nd against the Windsor Spitfires is a SportsNet game. It's an early 7:00 p.m. start. See you there!
