
Gems Announce Watch Parties for Road Games

Dayton, OH- The Dayton Gems Ownership group announced today that local sponsor Boston's Bistro and Pub will be the host site for 12 selected road games that the Gems will be having watch parties for, for the remainder of the 2010-11 season. Boston's Bistro and Pub is located at 7500 N. Main Street in Dayton (five minutes from Hara Arena) and was chosen as the host site for the watch party's thanks in large part to their long-time support of hockey in Dayton, beginning in the 1960's with the original Dayton Gems.
"At Boston's Bistro and Pub we believe in supporting the Gems and what they bring to the community," said David Boston owner of Boston's. "We are excited about hosting the Gems fans and providing a great atmosphere to be there for the team when they are on the road."
Boston's Bistro and Pub offers gourmet pizzas and fine craft beers and is now known as the Most Arrogant Pub in the United States for their success in Stone Brewing Companies Most Arrogant Pub Competition. Gems front office staff members will be on hand to conduct drawings for fans to win free merchandise during the parties throughout the games.
"We appreciate the loyalty that David Boston has showed throughout the years towards our organization," said Gems President Joe Greene. "Boston's Bistro and Pub is the ideal place for Gems watch parties this season because of that support and we hope that our fans will bring out the whole family to help us cheer on our guys and be a part of an exciting hockey environment."

The Gems return home to Hara Arena Thursday night (December 9th) to take on the Rapid City Rush at 7:00 p.m. Thursday's game will be another Thirsty Thursday, meaning there will be $1.00 Bud Light Drafts on sale throughout the arena at the concession stands (with proof of legal ID). The U.S. Marines will be there as well to collect Toys for Tots and Santa Clause will make an appearance for the kids. The Kettering Medical Center is proud to be the official title sponsor of the Gems for the 2010-11 season.
