CHL 'Oakley Three Stars' for November Announced

TEMPE, AZ (December 7, 2010) -Odessa Jackalopes forward Sebastien Thinel, Rio Grande Valley's Juliano Pagliero and Bossier-Shreveport forward David Rutherford have been named the ‚¬ËœOakley Three Stars' for the month of November/2010.

Players are awarded five points for first star recognition, three points for a second star nod and a single point for being named the third star of the game. Keep up with the season-long ‚¬ËœOakley Three Stars' point count on www.centralhockeyleague.com .

First Star - Sebastien Thinel, F, Odessa Jackalopes Thinel was named the Sher-Wood Central Hockey League Player of the Month for November last week making his spot as the top star of the month no surprise. He finished November with three first star honors and two third star honors. The St. Jerome, Quebec native scored 10 goals with 15 assists in November and is currently the league leader with 36 points (15-21=36) and is second in the league with 15 goals. Thinel ranks second in the overall three star race with 26 points.

Second Star - Juliano Pagliero, G, Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees Pagliero was named a first star once during November but earned his points with three second star recognitions. He finished the month with a 5-5-0 record with one shutout and a 2.86 goals against average and a .912 save percentage. The Calgary native is 8-8-2 on the season with two shutouts (tied for the league lead) and is tied for eighth with a .915 save percentage and is carrying a 2.79 goals against average. Overall, the first year Killer Bee ranks fifth on the three star list with 20 points.

Third Star - David Rutherford, F, Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs Rutherford was the second star of October with 13 points and currently leads the season rankings with 30 points, four more than Thinel. In November, the Ladner, British Columbia native was first star twice, second star once and third star once. He finished the month with nine goals, six assists and a +8 plus/minus rating. Three times during the month, Rutherford recorded two goals and an assist in a single game. Overall, the 5-8, 180-pound forward leads the league with 16 goals.
