ROSEMONT, Ill. - Miguel Rosario turned in eight innings of two-run ball as the starter, and Casio Grider and Dillon Thomas each went deep as the Texas AirHogs defeated the Chicago Dogs 4-3 Wednesday at Impact Field.

Rosario dazzled as the starter. He allowed two runs over the first two innings but settled down to fire six straight scoreless from the third through the eighth. The righty (1-4) allowed just six hits and two runs over eight to earn the win.

Stewart Ijames came home on an RBI base hit by Correlle Prime to give Texas an early 1-0 lead in the first against Chicago starter Josh Goossen-Brown. Trailing 2-1 in the fourth, Grider went deep for his first homer of the year to make it 2-2. Thomas gave the AirHogs a lead they would not relinquish in the fifth with a massive two-run homer down the right field line to score Ijames for a second time. The blast was the sixth of the season for Thomas.

Taylor Wright went for the save in the ninth, surrendering a run on an RBI double by Matt Dean before Carlos Contreras entered and struck out the final two batters to seal the 4-3 win. The save was the first of the season for Contreras.

Goossen-Brown (2-3) suffered the loss for Chicago after allowing eight hits and four runs (four earned) over six innings. The AirHogs outhit the Dogs 9-8.
