KEARNEY, NE. - Tri-City Storm forward Gavin Brindley will join the Under-18 team for the United States National Team Development Program (NTDP) for an international competition in Monthey, Switzerland. The Five Nations event will be held November 10th-13th and will include host nation Switzerland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Finland, and the United States. NTDP has not competed in any international events since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Brindley is currently tied for the Storm's team lead with five goals scored this season.

Gavin Brindley (5'9'', 157 lbs), of Estero, Florida, returns to this year's team after netting nine goals and recording thirteen assists in his debut season with the Storm last year. Three of Brindley's nine goals were game-winning goals. After signing a tender agreement with the team on March 27th, 2020, Brindley made his USHL debut with the Storm on November 13th, 2020, in Tri-City's 5-1 road loss to the Omaha Lancers. He scored his first career USHL goal on December 11th, 2020, in Tri-City's 4-1 win over the Omaha Lancers at the Viaero Center. Prior to joining the Storm, Brindley scored fifty-six goals and notched fifty-five assists in fifty-three games played during the 2019-2020 season with the Florida Alliance (AAA). He finished the season with a team-high in goals, assists, points, and plus/minus rating (+80). Brindley represented the United States at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, Switzerland. He scored in the USA's opening game of the tournament, a 7-5 win over Finland. The United States went 3-0-0-1 in tournament play and won a Silver Medal in the event. Brindley's Florida Alliance team finished Runner-Up in the National Championship Game at USA Hockey Nationals for the 2018-2019 season. Brindley scored an overtime game-winning goal in the Storm's opening game of the 2021-2022 regular season on Thursday, September 23rd in a victory over the Dubuque Fighting Saints. Through the opening nine games of the regular season, Brindley is currently tied for the team lead with five goals scored. He has notched four assists for the Tri-City offense and has recorded nine total points. He is one of four Storm players to record a one-point-per-game average to this point in the 2021-2022 regular season. Brindley recently announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future at the University of Michigan.
