Manchester Monarchs News Release

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned center Gabe Gauthier to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Gauthier, 23, has played in five games for the Kings this season and has zero points and two penalty minutes. In 57 games with the Monarchs this season, the 5-foot-9, 200-pound native of Torrance has 32 points (13-19=32) and 44 penalty minutes.

Initially recalled by the Kings from Manchester on March 10 under emergency conditions, Gauthier made his Kings/NHL debut on March 11 at Dallas and he became the second player born in California to ever play for the Kings (left wing Noah Clarke was born in LaVerne).

The Monarchs return to the ice on Friday, March 23 at 7:05 p.m. when they travel to the Dunkin' Donuts Center to drop the puck with the Providence Bruins. Catch all of the play-by-play action of Monarchs hockey with Ken Cail on the Monarchs Radio Network WGIR-AM 610 and at www.monarchshockey.com. Watch the game live on B2 Networks for just $6 per game.
