LOWELL, Mass. "" The New Jersey Devils announced today they have recalled LW Tuomas Pihlman from the Lowell Devils.
Pihlman, 24, is in his fourth professional season in North America, and has previously skated in 13 games in the National Hockey League with New Jersey (1g-1a, 12 PIM), including 11 games in 2005-06. A second rou! nd draft pick of the Devils in 2001, the Finnish-born winger has 8g-14a-22pts in 57 games with Lowell this season. He leads the team with two shorthanded goals.
The Devils travel to Portland to take on the Pirates on Friday, March 23rd at 7:05 p.m. They return home to face the Manchester Monarchs at 7:05 on Saturday, March 24th. Coming up the following weekend is Guns & Hoses Night on March 30th, with the first 1,000 fans getting a free puck, courtesy of Trinity EMS. On March 31st the first 1,000 people will get a Devil Dawg Bobblehead Doll, sponsored by TD Banknorth. All Devils games can be heard live on WCAP 980 AM with the Voice of the Devils, Ryan Johnston.
