Moose Going Multi-Cultural Saturday Night vs. Griffins

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, are pleased to announce they will be hosting "Folklorama Night" on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the MTS Centre when the Moose play the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7:30pm. That night will be a celebration of multiculturalism and diversity in the province of Manitoba.

Special events that evening will include performances prior to the game by the Ching Wu Athletic Association lion dance and martial arts team, Paradise Caribbean Band, Bavarian Musik Werks, and the Barley Mow Band.

A pre-game ceremony will also host the Brazilian Drums group Viva Capoeira, the Hoosli Ukrainian Male Folk Ensemble performing the national anthem, and a flag colour guard by many of the Folklorama Pavilions in their traditional costumes.

Throughout the game, entertainment will also be provided by the musical groups Croatian Tamburica Orchestra, La Clave del Sol, African Drumming Group and Chile Lucha y Canta Inc. at each entrance of the MTS Centre. 5,000 lucky fans will also receive a 2006-07 Manitoba Moose Team Poster.
