ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats announced today that four of its 40 regular season home games in 2007-08 will be played at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The exact dates of the games in Glens Falls will be announced at a later date. Thirty-six home games will be played at Times Union Center.

"Playing four games next season in Glens Falls will give us an opportunity to provide our fans with a schedule that will feature more Saturday home games," River Rats President and CEO S. Garen Szablewski said.

In addition, the River Rats announced that due to the circus being scheduled at Times Union Center from April 24-29, up to three of the club's first round Calder Cup playoff games will be played in Glens Falls. The River Rats, bidding for their first playoff appearance since 2000, currently lead Bridgeport by one point for the fourth and final playoff spot in the East Division. Albany has 13 games left in the regular season, while the Sound Tigers have 14 games remaining.

The Albany River Rats, in their 14th season as members of the American Hockey League, are owned and operated by Capital District Sports Inc., and serve as the primary affiliate of the 2006 Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes and their development partner, the Colorado Avalanche.
