JACKSON, Tenn. - Tyler Garkow and Grady Wood starred on the mound as the Canaries won the series vs. Winnipeg Sunday. The two hurlers combined for nine innings of one-run ball to power the 3-1 Birds win.

The series win was the fifth in the last six for the Birds, who rallied from an 8-3 loss in Game 1 to take the set. Garkow led the way in Game 3 with 5.1 innings of four-hit, eight-strikeout dominance. Wood (1-0) entered in the sixth and notched the win after carving three strikeouts and allowing three hits.

The Birds took their first lead in the first inning on an RBI base hit by Charlie Valerio to score Wyatt Ulrich. The knock came with two outs.
