
Gamelin Fans 14 As Cutters Blank Scrappers

Shaun Gamelin struck out a season-high 14 batters over eight scoreless frames, as the Cutters defeated the Scrappers 3-0.
Gamelin was in full control from the first pitch, allowing just two hits over his eight innings of work. The righty did not allow a walk in the outing as he earned his fifth win of the season. He lowered his ERA from 4.00 to 3.27 on the season and has worked 15 scoreless innings over his last two starts.
Connor Langrell struck out two in his lone inning of work, a scoreless 9th, to complete the combined shutout and earn his fifth save in as many chances.
Brayland Skinner extended his hit streak to 15-games with a wallball triple to right, his first triple of the season. Skinner finished the night 1-for-3 out of the leadoff spot.
Tyler Lasch extended his hit streak to five games with a 2-for-4 performance, scoring a run and lifting his average to .338 on the season.
The combined 16 strikeouts are the most by the Cutters pitching staff this season and a feat they did twice in 2022. The 14 strikeouts for Gamelin are good for the 2nd-most by an individual pitcher in a single out this season
