GAME NOTES
Three Keys To The Game Presented By Nebraska Department Of Transportation
Key 1: Stymie Shahan
- Musketeers forward Kaden Shahan's 39 goals are third-most in the USHL and two away from moving into first place in the league. He has scored four times against the Stars, including last Friday, and is looking to light the lamp for a third straight game tonight. Shahan has eight multi-goal games and scored twice against the Stars in a 3-2 overtime win on Feb. 17 at the Tyson Events Center.
Key 2: Stand Strong With Shostak
- Stars goaltender Yan Shostak will make his fifth consecutive start between the pipes tonight to open up the weekend. The Minsk, Belarus native earned the USHL Goaltender Of The Week honor two weeks ago and committed to St. Cloud State earlier this week. Shostak is 2-1 with a 4.06 goals-against average and an .883 save percentage in three games against Sioux City.
Key 3: Get Pechar To 20 Goals
- Jack Pechar scored Lincoln's lone goal last Saturday with his 19th of the season. He is a goal away from recording the 67th 20-goal season in Stars history and giving Lincoln four 20-goal scorers for the first time since 2006-07. Blake Montgomery and Keaton Peters are tied for the team lead with 22 goals while Jared Mangan has 21 tallies.
