Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm host the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders this afternoon at the Viaero Center. Today's game will begin at 3:05pm and will be the first matchup of the season between the Storm and RoughRiders. Tri-City enters today's game on a season high five game winning streak. Last night, the Storm defeated Sioux Falls by a final score of 7-3 at the Viaero Center to win its 15th game in its first 20 games of the 2018-2019 regular season. Tri-City (15-4-1-0) hosts Cedar Rapids today as the 1st place team in the USHL's Western Conference standings. The Storm tied a season high in offense with 7 goals scored in last night's home win over Sioux Falls. Tri-City is 2-0 against Eastern Conference teams this season after wins over both Youngstown and Madison at the 2018 USHL Fall Classic to begin the season. Through the first 20 games of the season, Tri-City has captured 31 of a possible 40 points in the standings.
Cedar Rapids (10-8-2-0) visits the Viaero Center for the only time this season following a 4-2 road win last night over the Des Moines Buccaneers. The RoughRiders are currently 3rd in the Eastern Conference standings and will host Tri-City in the final game of the season series on April 6th. The RoughRiders and the Storm split the season series last year, with each team picking up a road win in the two game season series.
Today's game is set to begin at 3:05pm CT, and will be streamed live on HockeyTV, and Storm Radio.
