VS EDMONTON: This is the fourth meeting of the season between the Oil Kings and the Tigers. Medicine Hat is 1-2-0-0 vs the Oil Kings this season. The last time these two teams met was on December 3rd, 2021 when the Oil Kings came away with an 8-2 victory. Edmonton is 29-10-2-1 on the season, good enough for 61 points. They sit 1st in the Central Division and 2nd in the Eastern Conference. Leading the way on the ice for the Oil Kings this season is Josh Williams who has 20 goals and 32 assists.

LAST GAME: The Tigers played host to the Red Deer Rebels at Co-op Place on Sunday, coming away with a huge 3-2 come from behind victory. Noah Danielson tallied his 10th goal of the campaign in the 1st period. Red Deer appeared to tie it up early in the 2nd period, but a keen eye from the Tigers video coach noticed the play was just offside, negating the goal. Red Deer would take the lead later in the frame. The Tigers would show resiliency for the 2nd time in back to nights as Logan Barlage scored twice in the third period to lift the Tigers to victory. Tigers Captain Daniel Baker had 3 assists in the contest.

MILESTONES: Daniel Baker played in his 200th career WHL game on January 21st in Saskatoon. Owen MacNeil appeared in his 100th career WHL game vs the Prince Albert Raiders the following night. Rhett Parsons, Oren Shtrom, Oasiz Wiesblatt, Tyler MacKenzie, Pavel Bocharov, Teague Patton and Brayden Boehm each recently played in their 50th career games, while Ashton Ferster and Reid Andresen close in on the milestone.

PLAYER TO WATCH: Logan Barlage was acquired by the Medicine Hat Tigers at the WHL Trade Deadline. Since being acquired by the Tabbies, the 21-year-old from Humboldt, SK has points in four of his five games including five goals and 1 assist, including back to back two goal performances. The 6'5 centre is leaned on to win draws and provide a presence in front of the net and in the locker room. In 35 games this season Barlage has 12 goals and 11 assists and leads the Tigers in scoring.
