TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The Thunder begin their second half schedule with a visit to Reading to take on the Royals. The two teams are squaring off for the fifth time this season, with Adirondack holding just a 1-3 record in the first four games, including two wins from three games in Pennsylvania.

ALL-STAR AFTERMATH: The Thunder are coming off of the 2017 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic, where they narrowly fell to the ECHL All-Star by an 8-7 final on Wednesday evening at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Adirondack was led by skills competition heroics from Stepan Falkovsky and Peter MacArthur, as well as two points from forward Brett Pollock. The All Star team included Reading forward Justin Crandall, who collected an assist and a+2 rating in the game.

WE GOT THAT POWER: Despite defeats over the weekend, the Thunder power-play unit has now scored in five straight games, including three straight with multiple power-play goals. In their three-game set against Manchester, Adirondack was 7-of-16 on the power play against the ECHL's top penalty killing unit. The Thunder now rank third in the league on the power play at 22.1%.

KING MACARTHUR'S COURT: Adirondack Thunder captain Peter MacArthur has collected points in four straight games, a stretch including a pair of three-point games. MacArthur collected his first career ECHL hat trick in Tuesday's win over Elmira and followed up with a three-assist performance on Friday against Manchester, as well as assists on Saturday and Monday against the Monarchs.

STEP-BY-STEPAN: Rookie defenseman Stepan Falkovsky is currently riding a three-game point streak, including power-play goals on Friday and Saturday against Manchester. HANK THE TANK: Like Falkovsky, Thunder forward James Henry is also on a three-game point streak and tied his career best with three points in Friday's game against Manchester. Henry, who has six points (2-4-6) on his streak, has now tied his point total from last season with his 21st point of the season on Monday. Henry, who has amassed seven goals and 14 assists, reached the 21-point mark in 14 games fewer than last season.

TUG OF WARD: The Thunder got reinforcements back last week as forward Brian Ward was released from his PTO with the Albany Devils. Ward has amassed 19 points (12-7-19) this season, with his 12 goals tied for the team lead. In eight AHL games with the Devils, Ward collected one assists. ons.
