TONIGHT: The Orlando Solar Bears (1-2-0-0) head north to face the Jacksonville Icemen (1-0-0-0) to begin a two-game road trip. Orlando faces Jacksonville 12 total times this season after going 7-1-1-0 against the Icemen last season.

HIT THE ROAD: With a 17-17-2-0 record on the road in 2017-18, the Solar Bears have enjoyed a five-year run of posting a record of .500 or better away from home. Orlando was 3-1-1-0 at Veterans Memorial Arena in the previous campaign, outscoring the Icemen 21-17 through five games. The best road season in team history came during the 2014-15 campaign, when the Solar Bears went 19-12-3-2 (.597) on the road.

FEJES EFFECTIVE AGAINST ICEMEN: Despite joining the Solar Bears midway through last year, forward Hunter Fejes acclimated himself to the Orlando-Jacksonville matchup right away, netting a hat trick against the Icemen in just his second game with his new club. In four games against Jacksonville, Fejes posted a team-leading five goals for Orlando.

SET-UP MAN: Nolan Valleau's seven assists in eight games led the Solar Bears against the Icemen last season. The blueliner is producing at a point-per-game pace early in the season, with three points (2g-1a) through three games.

STRONG START: Last season, the Solar Bears showed an ability to hang on to a win when scoring the first goal, posting a 21-4-2-1 record, while the Icemen were 19-15-4-1 when scoring first. This season, Orlando is 1-0-0-0 when scoring first, while Jacksonville has yet to score first in a game.

BEREHOWSKY CLOSING IN ON CENTURY MARK: With 93 career wins behind the bench of the Solar Bears, Drake Berehowsky is already the winningest head coach in the team's ECHL tenure. He is only seven wins away from joining former IHL Solar Bears bench boss Curt Fraser as the second head coach of a professional hockey team in Orlando to reach the century mark in coaching wins.

NEXT GAME: The Solar Bears complete their road trip against the Atlanta Gladiators on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7:35 p.m. at Infinite Energy Arena. The Solar Bears then return home for a showdown with the Florida Everblades as part of Boo with the Bears, presented by Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic, on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. The Solar Bears will wear specialty skeleton jerseys, while fans can enjoy trick-or-treating on the Amway Center concourse, participate in a costume contest and more.
