Solar Bears Lend a Hand at the Christian Service Center Yesterday:
The Orlando Solar Bears were on hand to help distribute blankets and serve meals at the Christian Service Center for Central Florida. Corbin Baldwin and Ryan Ginand, who are injured and did not make the trip to Estero, along with Solar Bears Mascot 'Shades' and Solar Bears managing partner Jason Siegel, helped out those in need distributing over 400 meals and blankets yesterday morning.
Matchup:
Orlando and Florida come back together tonight after the Solar Bears earned a 5-1 victory over Orlando on Wednesday. The Solar Bears scored twice in the first period on Wednesday, including a power play goal with less than a second left to take a 2-0 lead after one. The two sides went in to the third period with Orlando leading 3-1, when C Mathew Sisca tallied twice in the final frame to secure the win. It was the third straight the victory that the Solar Bears have taken over their intrastate rivals, winning 8-2 in Estero on October 19, and earning a 4-3 win in a 12-round shootout in Orlando's Home Opener on October 20.

Orlando has outscored Florida 13-3 in the last two games played at the Germain Arena... C Mathew Sisca had four points on Wednesday, giving him 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) in five games against Florida. Sisca and LW Nick Petersen are tied for the team lead in points against the Everblades... Sisca has scored four points in each of the last two games in Estero... F Michael Neal scored his first goal as a Solar Bear on Wednesday... D Sean Lorenz was placed on reserve on Wednesday... F Ryan Ginand is currently on the 21-day IR... D Corbin Baldwin was placed on the 21-day IR on Thursday... RW Chris Lawrence remains on the 21-day IR....G Mike Brodeur remains on the 21-day IR but has resumed skating drills... D Kyle Medvec, and F Rob Mignardi are currently recalled to the Houston Aeros... F Olivier Fortier is currently recalled to the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Florida Notes:
LW Matt Marquardt and C David Rutherford have each scored a total of five points in five games against Orlando... After winning five straight one-goal games, Florida has fallen in back-to-back contests by a combined 9-3 margin... D Bobby Raymond is fourth among ECHL defensemen with a 17.5 shooting percentage... Florida is eighth on the power play at 21.4 percent (28-for-131) and 18th on the penalty kill at 79.1 percent (91-for-115). The Everblades are third on the power play at home, converting on 25.5 percent of their opportunities.
