The Sioux Falls Skyforce rides into the back-to-back with the Motor City Cruise fresh off a two-game sweep of the Wisconsin Herd and four-straight home wins. The team currently sits at 5-1 at the Sanford Pentagon this season. With a victory tonight, it would tie the second-best start at home in the NBA G League era.

On Thursday, the Skyforce acquired seven-year NBA veteran Stanley Johnson out of Arizona. Johnson, the former eighth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons, is expected to be available in tonight's contest with Motor City. Johnson earned two NBA Call-Ups last season from the South Bay Lakers, with the Chicago Bulls, and the Los Angeles Lakers (he appeared in 48 games for LA in 2021-22).

The Skyforce defense held Wisconsin to under 100 points in back-to-back games and is looking for three-straight under-100 for the first time since the 2016-17 season. Sioux Falls had six players score in double figures on Tuesday and looks to continue to share the ball offensively. The team is 3-0 this season when five-plus players score in double figures. Orlando Robinson led the way with 21 points and 13 rebounds in the winning effort, while HEAT two-way player Jamal Cain added 18 points and a career-high 15 rebounds.

Motor City, who makes their first trip to Sioux Falls, features former South Dakota Coyotes and Arkansas Razorbacks standout Stanley Umude. Umude scored 20 first half points in the team's victory over the Iowa Wolves on 12/3.

Both teams will finish the two-game season series on Saturday night at the Pentagon, with the Skyforce traveling to Grand Rapids on Sunday to face the Gold on Monday and Wednesday to wrap-up the Showcase Cup regular season.
