PRINCE GEORGE BC - The Prince George Cougars wrap up their home stand tonight as they host the Regina Pats for the one and only time this season. Tonight marks the first time Regina has visited the CN Centre since November 2018 when the Cats defeated the Pats 5-3.

NEWS & NOTES:

Last Time Out: The Cougars saw their four-game win streak end this past Saturday night against the Kamloops Blazers at the CN Centre. Riley Heidt got the game tied at one early in the second period, but the Blazers proceeded to score three unanswered goals to propel them to a 4-1 win.

Heating Up: Riley Heidt enters tonight's game against the Pats with a nine-game point streak. The 17-year-old added to that streak with the lone Cougars marker in the setback against Kamloops. Heidt is currently tied for sixth in league scoring with 36 points (13G-23A). Throughout the nine-game point streak, Heidt has scored seven times along with 13 assists.

Power-Play Production: No team has more power-play goals this season than the Prince George Cougars. The Cats have scored 30 times on the man advantage thus far in 2022-23. Entering tonight's game, the Cougars have connected on the power play in nine of their last ten games.

Hello December! The Cougars enter the month of December with four home games and seven road games, beginning tonight against the Pats. Prince George went 7-4 in November and led all WHL clubs in goals with 56.

On the Other Side: Regina comes to town for the one and only meeting of the 2022-23 season between the Pats and Cats. The Pats are on the back half of a seven-game road trip which wraps up Sunday afternoon in Edmonton. The Pats are coming off a 9-3 loss to the Kamloops Blazers on Wednesday night at the Sandman Centre. Offensively, the Pats are led by Connor Bedard who leads the league in points with 57 in 26 games (24G-33A). Bedard enters tonight's game against the Cougars with points in 25 straight games.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

What Are We Wearing? The Cougars are slated to wear their red uniforms tonight.

McDonald's Night: McDonald's will be in the building tonight, and they will be giving away a trip to Disneyland.

AFTER TONIGHT:

The Cougars embark on a six-game road swing that begins in Langley when PG takes on the Vancouver Giants on Sunday, December 4th at 4:00 PM at the Langley Events Centre.
