Prince George, B.C. - The Regina Pats play the fifth game of their six game Western Canada road trip tonight at the CN Centre at 9:00 p.m. Sask. time against the Prince George Cougars.
The Regina Pats are coming off a 9-3 loss to the Kamloops Blazers on Wednesday for their first loss of this road trip, as their three game winning-streak came to an end. The Pats trailed 2-1 after one but allowed seven goals in the second period, which turned out to be the difference. Connor Bedard scored twice in a three point effort while Alexander Suzdalev also found the back of the net and Stanislav Svozil tallied two assists. The final shots were 36-33 for the Pats. Regina was 2-3 on their power play and 5-7 on the penalty kill.
Meanwhile, the Prince George Cougars are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday. Riley Heidt scored his 13th of the season, which was an unassisted goal for the Cougars, tying the game at one in the second. The Blazers would counter with three more goals. The final shots were 35-28 for Prince George. The Cougars were 0-5 on the power play and 2-3 on the penalty kill.
The Cougars went 7-4-0-0 in 11 contests in the month of November, outscoring their opponents 56-to-41 over that stretch. The Cougars have gone 7-6-0-0 inside the CN Centre this season versus their 8-3-0-0 road record.

For a second straight month, Pats forward Connor Bedard was named the McSweeney's WHL Player of the Month for the month of November, recording 28 points (11G-17A)...he posted nine multi-point games in November including a five-point effort Nov. 9 versus the Edmonton Oil Kings while he also registered a hat-trick as part of a four-point night Nov. 26 at Victoria.
Tonight will also be the one and only time that former Pat' Cole Dubinsky will face off against his former team...the Ardrossan, Alta. product played parts of six seasons with the Pats from 2017-2022.
