Oshawa Generals News Release
Tonight, the Oshawa Generals close out their home double header against the Kingston Frontenacs at the Tribute Communities Centre. The Gens head into the game with a record of 7-5-1-0 after going on a recent four game winning streak before falling 3-2 to the Kitchener Rangers last night in a close contest. The team will look to rebound from the loss and get back to their winning ways tonight against the Frontenacs.
Today's game will mark the second time the Gens face off against the Frontenacs this season. The two teams first met in Oshawa's season opener that they dropped 5-2 to Kingston. The Gens currently hold the seventh place spot in the eastern conference, while the Frontenacs sit at the bottom of the conference with a record of 4-10-1-0. The Gens will look to get their revenge against the Fronts tonight and get back on track after a tough loss last night.
A couple of key Gens players to keep an eye on tonight include Kyle MacLean and Ty Tullio. MacLean is currently on a two-game goal streak that includes potting two against the Hamilton Bulldogs in Friday's 5-3 win as well as one last night against the Rangers. The forward now has 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points in 13 games. MacLean will look to keep finding the net in tonight's game and add to his goal streak. After scoring his first career OHL goal against the Petes in last Sunday's big 4-1 win, Ty Tullio added to his total last night against the Rangers with a beautiful goal to give him 6 points in 13 games. The rookie will look to build off this momentum and continue to contribute to the team's offense in tonight's game.
Come join us at the Tribute Communities Centre for tonight's game at 6:05pm and cheer on the Gens as they take on the Frontenacs! The team will then head to Peterborough for a tilt against the Petes on Thursday before returning to Oshawa to battle the Owen Sound Attack on Friday and the Barrie Colts on Sunday.
