HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs couldn't complete the comeback against the North Bay Battalion, dropping a 3-2 decision Sunday afternoon at FirstOntario Centre.
The Bulldogs got off to a quick start as Arthur Kaliyev (14) put one home from a bad angle to open the scoring at 6:07 of the 1st period. That was it for the goals until late in the 2nd when the Battalion tied the game 1-1. North Bay scored two quick goals midway through the 3rd period to grab a 3-1 lead before Nicolas Mattinen (5) scored short-handed at 11:59 to cut the deficit to one. Despite several chances late, the Bulldogs were not able to pull-off the comeback and came up one goal short, suffering their fourth loss in a row.
3 Stars:1) Christian Propp (NB) 2) Brad Chenier (NB) 3) Arthur Kaliyev (HAM)
The Bulldogs continue a four game homestand Saturday November 3rd as they host the Kingston Frontenacs at FirstOntario Centre at 4 pm.
