Last time they met: October 19th in Saskatoon last season as the Blades edged the Chiefs 3-2 in overtime. Nolan Maier was 1st Star of the game with 41 saves while then Chiefs' netminder Bailey Brkin made 30 saves of his own for 2nd Star honours. Kirby Dach, now a member of the Chicago Blackhawks, tied the game 2-2 with a second left in the 2ndperiod before scoring the game-winning-goal 37 seconds into OT. Eric Florchuk had the other goal for Saskatoon.

What it means for Saskatoon: Setting the right tone for their longest road trip of the season.

The stat: 18 - the Saskatoon Blades' penalty kill unit has now killed their last 18 short-handed situations in a row dating back to November 1st against the Oil Kings in Edmonton.

The match-up: Chase Wouters vs. Eli Zummack - each are important 2000-born centres for their respective clubs. Both have the ability to produce on the scoresheet and each lead their teams at the face-off dot.

It's a big night for: Riley McKay - the now 20-year-old veteran for the league quickly ascended to the ranks of cult figure among Saskatoon Hockey fans. The Swan River, MB, native arrived with the Blades after playing 113 games in two seasons with the Chiefs. McKay, who is on a self described "farewell-tour," has said getting to play in his former team's barn one more time is a nice touch to his final year in the Western League.
