Last time they met: Last season the Blades went (2-0-2-0) against the Hitmen. Their most recent encounter was on January 11th, 2019, at SaskTel Centre as Calgary came back from a 3-1 deficit with late goals in both the 2nd & 3rd periods, eventually skating off winners as Phoenix native Mark Kastelic scored 1:28 into overtime.

What it means for Saskatoon: The Blades are in a midst of a point-streak (5-0-0-1) currently and another win would add to the bounty. Additionally, a win against Calgary would be a real confidence booster at the Hitmen are touted as one of the best in the league this season.

The stat: 10. All 10 of the Blades' games this season, win or lose, have been one goal games.

The match-up: Blades' PK vs Hitters' PP - The Blades' penalty kill streak (20 straight dating back to Oct. 2) will be tested against the leagues' top power play team in Calgary who are scoring at 36.8% efficiency.

It's a big day for: The Saskatoon Blades - the game against the Hitmen could be a good measuring stick for the Blades and a sign of how much further they'll need to grow before the pointy end of the season. A win or a close loss would signal they're on the right path while a big loss could mean Saskatoon still has a lot of work ahead of them. With that said, given this is the Blades' fourth game in a span of six games, any result can be taken with a grain of salt.
