Calgary, AB - The Saskatoon Blades dominated the Calgary Hitmen from start to finish en route to a comfortable 9-3 win at the Saddledome on Monday afternoon.

13 individual Blades notched a point in the victory, highlighted by Eric Florchuk who had a natural hat trick in the first period, his first in the Western Hockey League.

Tristen Robins (2G-1A) & Majid Kaddoura* (1G-2A) also had three point nights while Chase Wouters (1G-1A), Riley McKay (2A) and Jayden Wiens (1G-1A) all had multi-point nights. It was Kaddoura's & Wiens' first multi-point performances in the WHL.

Robins had the Blades on the board 1:18 into the match and not long after Florchuk's hat trick saw Saskatoon up 4-0 prior to the 1st intermission. Mark Kastelic, captain of the Hitmen, managed to temporarily stop the haemorrhaging for Calgary, scoring with less than a minute in the frame.

Much like the 1st period, the 2nd period got underway with an early Blades' goal as Kaddoura thread-the-needle with a point shot that found itself in the back of the net just 1:37 in. The scoring then halted with Saskatoon up 5-1 heading into the final change.

The final frame continued the trend of Saskatoon scoring early, as Robins kept the goal scoring party going with his second of the evening just 1:31 into the period. Wouters then scored his 4th of the season by tipping a Nolan Kneen shot into the back of the net to complete the touchdown and make the scoreboard read 7-1 visitors.

Calgary scored twice more to get within four goals with six minutes left in regulation. However, Saskatoon swiftly responded with two more goals of their own coming off the sticks of Wiens & Cyle McNabb to set the final score at 9-3 good guys. Radek Kucerik had the primary assist on McNabb's goal, earning the rookie Czech blueliner his first ever career WHL point.

Nolan Maier was stellar in net for Saskatoon, stopping 38 of 41 shots faced for a .927 SVS%.

Rookie forwards Wiens & C. Dach finished with a +4 & +3 plus/minus respectively, leading the team. C. Dach also led the team in shots on goal with 6.

With his goal and assist, Wouters extends his scoring streak to six games (4G-3A).

The Blades are in action again immediately tomorrow night facing the Tigers in Medicine Hat. Puck drop is at 7:00pm.
