TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors face the San Diego Gulls for the second consecutive Friday for the team's final home game before the holiday break. The Condors are 2-1-0-1 against the Gulls this season and have won both games at Rabobank Arena, including a 6-4 decision last Friday.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Bakersfield took three of a possible four points last weekend against San Diego and San Jose. The Condors jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back in a 6-4 win over the Gulls at home on Friday. On Saturday, the Condors fell behind 4-1 after one period of play, but stormed back to erase three deficits, force overtime, and get a point in a 7-6 overtime loss to the Barracuda. D Brad Hunt had four assists on Saturday, while C Josh Currie notched the first multi-goal game of his AHL career.

San Diego was swept in two road contests last weekend. After dropping the opener in Bakersfield on Friday, the Gulls were doubled up by Stockton, 4-2. Pulled the night before, G Ryan Faragher returned between the pipes to make 40 saves on 43 shots against the Heat. D Andrew O'Brien scored his first goal of the season in the loss on Saturday.

POWER PLAYS ON DISPLAY

The Condors power play has climbed to third in the AHL at 23.1% (18-for-78) thanks in large part to the recent stretch. Bakersfield has scored a power-play goal in each of their last six games and are 9-for-21 (42.9%) over that span. D Brad Hunt and RW Matthew Ford pace the team with four power-play goals each, while RW Anton Slepyshev has notched all three of his goals this season on the man advantage.

San Diego has the league's 2nd best power play at 25% (22-for-88). After starting 0-for-8 against the Condors on the man advantage this season, the Gulls are 5-for-7 in the last two meetings between the teams including a 2-for-4 effort a week ago. D Brandon Montour has 16 power-play points (3g-13a) while LW Nick Ritchie and LW Nic Kerdiles are tied for the team lead with five PPGs.

CONDORS NOTES

C Andrew Miller has a five-game point streak (4g-5a)... C Josh Currie had four points in two games last weekend (3g-1a), including the team's second shorthanded goal of the season on Saturday... D Brad Hunt notched his second four-point game of the season with four assists Saturday... G Ty Rimmer was recalled on Monday from Norfolk after pitching a 30-save shutout on Saturday and earning ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors.

GULLS NOTES

LW Nick Ritchie was reassigned to San Diego Wednesday by Anaheim. He played 11 games with the Ducks with one assist... LW Kyle Bonis has 2g-2a in five games since being called up from Toledo (ECHL)... Three of the top four scorers on the Gulls (Montour, Ritchie, Theodore) are rookies.
