IceCaps Home Streak Snapped by Americans

ST. JOHN'S, NL - The St. John's IceCaps saw their impressive home streak come to an end Friday night in a 3-1 loss to the Rochester Americans at Mile One Centre.

Rochester's Jerry D'Amigo potted a goal with 1:02 to go in regulation and Colby Robak scored into the empty net to break the IceCaps' 10-game home point streak (6-0-3-1), their first home loss of the season not in overtime or a shootout.

Jacob de la Rose had the lone goal for St. John's, his first of the season after missing the previous 11 games due to injury. Zach Fucale made 25 saves on 27 shots in the loss.

The IceCaps and Americans face off again Saturday night in the second of two at Mile One. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the Mile One box office or at www.mileonecentre.com.
