Capital City Go-Go News Release
The Capital City Go-Go look to rebound on the road as they travel to North Carolina to take on the Greensboro Swarm for an away-and-home back-to-back Tuesday and Thursday.
The Go-Go are coming off of a December 3 loss at the hands of the Maine Celtics, 103-99. Go-Go guard Jules Bernard led the team with 22 points and eight rebounds. Two-Way players Eugene Omoruyi and Jared Butler finished with 19 and 15 points, respectively. Chase Audige contributed on both sides of the ball with 10 points and three steals.
Ultimately, though, the Celtics' success from beyond the arc and some crafty defense led them to their fifth win of the season. Celtics guard DJ Steward led the team with 24 points, as five Celtics finished the afternoon in double figures.
The Go-Go will face a Greensboro team that is currently on a five-game skid, with their most recent defeat coming on December 2 to the Delaware Blue Coats, 123-113. The team is led by rookie Amari Bailey, who is averaging 17 points on the season.
The two teams will face off in Greensboro on December 5, before heading to D.C. for the second game of their series on December 7 at 7 PM.
The Go-Go's December 5 game will be available to watch on nbagleague.com. For tickets to the Go-Go's December 7 game, visit Ticketmaster.
