TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (24-11-2-4) play their first home game following the All-Star Break against the Idaho Steelheads (26-12-1-3). The Reign are coming off a 3-1 victory less than 24 hours prior at Bakersfield; Idaho recently completed a three-game set in Alaska. The next three upcoming games represent the final regular season series in 2014-15 between Ontario and Idaho - the Reign currently sport a 4-4-0-1 record against the Steelheads this season.

COUTURE POISED TO HIT MILESTONE:

Derek Couture continues to hunt for the goal that will put him in exclusive company in Reign history - his next goal will give him sole possession of the club's all-time goals list (currently tied with Kraemer at 83).

HEALTHY BLUELINE:

With the return of Ralfs Freibergs to the lineup, Ontario dressed six natural defensemen in Tuesday's match, allowing Norm Ezekiel to resume his duties at forward; Ezekiel and Everett Sheen had both logged significant time manning the blueline while the Reign defense corps went through a spate of injuries and call-ups earlier in the season.

CARZO GOES FISHING:

Rocco Carzo continues to round into midseason form, as the forward has picked up eight points over his last nine contests (3g-5a), with two of his goals serving as game-winners. He has also been especially effective against the Steelheads this season, leading the team with six goals against Idaho, and is tied with Judd Blackwater (2g-4a) for the team lead in points in the series. After being acquired from the Florida Everblades in a trade last year, Carzo has been one of the more offensively-gifted members of the team.

NEW ADDITIONS PROVIDING OFFENSE:

David Rutherford teamed up with his old Spokane Chiefs teammate Judd Blackwater to help generate two of Ontario's goals on Tuesday night in Bakersfield, assisting on Matt Register and newcomer Patrick Holland's goals.
