The Ice Flyers got a split in their home stand with Augusta this weekend winning 5-4 in overtime on Friday and then taking a very disheartening 11-2 loss last night. Today the Flyers are in Louisiana to take on the IceGators at 3:05 CT. Pensacola and Louisiana have met 3 times so far this season with the Ice Flyers winning 3 of them.

Team Scope:

PENSACOLA - The IceFlyers struggled last night in their 11-2 loss to Augusta who were looking for revenge after Friday night. Adam Ward has a 4-8-1 record, a 4.11 goals against average, and a .857 save percentage while Jeff Rose has a 1-1-0 record, 4.05 GAA, and a 0.840 SV%. Jordan Chong leads the team in scoring with 28 points. Matthew Robertson leads in goals with 14 while Chong and Tyler Soehner lead in assists with 18.

This game will wrap up the Ice Flyers weekend before the team takes on the Mississippi Surge in Biloxi on Tuesday before hosting the Surge in the Hangar on Friday the 27th.

LOUISIANA- The IceGators lost a close game with the Huntsville Havoc last night 5-4 on home ice. The Gators have Dan Earles and B.J. O'Brien between the pipes. Earles has a record of 8-3-0, a 3.14 GAA, and a 0.892 SV% while O'Brien has a record of 6-6-1, a 2.78 GAA, and a 0.903 SV%. The IceGators' leading scorer is Jason Hill who has 50 points. Hill, Robert Short, and Shawn McNeil are all tied for the team lead in goals with 15 while Hill has 35 assists.

This game ends the weekend for Louisiana before they travel to Huntsville on Thursday.
