St. Paul Saints News Release
JOPLIN, MO - Two days in Joplin and the St. Paul Saints have played a total of two and a half innings. In the first game of Tuesday's double header the Saints scored four runs in the second inning and then the game was halted after the final out in the top of the third with the Saints up 4-0 on the Joplin Blasters at Joe Becker Stadium. The heavy rains were enough to make the field unplayable for the second straight day.
The two teams will resume the postponed game at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a seven inning contest, and then play the second game of the double header approximately 30 minutes at the conclusion of the completed postponed game. In game two the Saints will send RHP Jeff Shields (1-1, 5.11) to the mound against Blasters RHP Carlos Fuentes (0-0, 2.00). Both game can be heard on Club 1220 KLBB.
