After a 3-1 road win over the LA Galaxy, Sounders FC (7-3-3, 24 points) hosts Cascadia rival Vancouver Whitecaps FC (5-9-0, 15 points) on Saturday evening at CenturyLink Field (7:00 p.m. PT / JOEtv, Prime Video, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Saturday marks the second meeting of the season between the two sides, and the 142nd meeting across all competitions between Seattle and Vancouver dating back to 1974, with Seattle leading the series 68-50-23.
Seattle is currently tied with Portland atop the Western Conference with 24 points, with one game in hand on the Timbers. Sounders FC is 3-1-0 in its past four matches, outscoring its opponents 13-3. Brian Schmetzer's side previously met Whitecaps FC in the MLS is Back Tournament in Orlando, with Seattle winning 3-0.
