
Real Salt Lake Hosts LAFC Sunday at Rio Tinto Stadium

SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake will welcome LAFC to Rio Tinto Stadium on Sunday, October 4 as the club looks to secure the second consecutive victory over the California side. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. MT with the live, local broadcast on KMYU, the KSL TV app and ESPN700 radio.
RSL enters Sunday's match after playing to a scoreless draw at Minnesota United FC one week ago. Andrew Putna's seven saves helped RSL secure the road point - the club's first ever point taken in Minnesota.
Saturday will be the sixth meeting between RSL and LAFC since 2018 and in the team's last meeting on September 9, RSL claimed its first regular season victory over LAFC in a dominant 3-0 win in Sandy. Goals from Damir Kreilach, Justin Meram and Albert Rusnákand a shutout performance from Andrew Putna helped push RSL to the full three points.
LAFC enters the match having dropped a 2-1 home loss to the San Jose Earthquakes last Sunday. LAFC currently sits in 7th place in the Western Conference.
