San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes are facing the LA Galaxy tonight in the California Clasico at Earthquakes Stadium, presented by Sutter Health. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 680 and 1370 KZSF.
The Earthquakes and Galaxy are facing off for the third time this season, with LA prevailing 3-2 at home on Aug. 29 and the two teams playing to a scoreless draw in San Jose on Sept. 13. Tonight's match marks the 73rd regular season meeting between the two clubs since Major League Soccer's inaugural season in 1996. The Quakes hold a 4-2-2 record over LA in their last eight matches.
The Quakes are in search of their second consecutive victory after defeating the 2019 Supporters' Shield winners Los Angeles Football Club on Sunday. Midfielders Shea Salinas and Jackson Yueill each scored late to give San Jose the dramatic 2-1 victory.
