RHP Trey Supak (1-1, 9.35) vs. RHP Brandon Bielak (7-4, 4.74)
Gamel's Game: After going 0-for-3 in his Missions debut, Ben Gamel made up for it with a tremendous performance in last night's win. He filled up that stat sheet going 3-for-4, with five runs, a home run, two RBI, a walk, HBP, and a stolen base. His five runs scored set a new career high for Gamel and were the most runs scored by a Missions player this season.
Monthly Record: The month of August could see the Missions set new season-highs for strikeouts pitching and stolen bases. Missions pitchers have currently struck out 263 batters this month while the monthly high this season is 269 from the month of May. Missions baserunners have swiped 24 bags this month while the monthly high this season is 27 in July.
Worth the Wait: Last night's game was well worth the wait for Missions fans. In a 14-8 game with six home runs and 23 hits combined, the run time lasted three hours and 59 minutes making it the longest nine inning game the Missions have played this season.
Milestone Watch: With five games remaining in the regular season, three Missions players are on milestone watch. Tyler Austin needs two more hits to record 800 for his career. Jake Faria needs 3.0 innings to reach 700 MiLB innings pitched. Troy Stokes Jr. needs four hits to collect 500 for his career.
