MONDAY NIGHT BASEBALL: Louisville and Indianapolis square off in the opening game of a three-game series at Louisville Slugger Field, with the Bats coming off back-to-back wins against Columbus to capture their second home series victory of the season. Tonight, right-hander Sal Romano makes his first start of the season after making 31 relief apps for the Bats on the year.

AGAINST INDIANAPOLIS: The Bats finished out their last road trip, a season-long 8 games, against the Indians at Victory Field. Louisville is in the heart of playing 18 consecutive games against fellow IL West Division opponents, their longest such streak of 2019. LOU has dropped 7 of its last 8 matchups against Indy after going 4-3 over the first 7 games.

TRANSACTIONS: Today the Cincinnati Reds recalled right-hander Jimmy Herget to the 25-man roster, and designated for assignment LHP Zach Duke. Herget, who made his Louisville debut back in 2017, will make his Major League debut when first appearing with the Reds. In a corresponding move for the Bats, RHP Tristan Archer was reinstated from the 7-day injured list, which he landed on June 20 with a neck strain.

- Herget is 1-4 with a 3.58 ERA (15er/37.2ip) in a team-leading 33 games for LOU this season, allowing 30 hits and 5 home runs, walking 24 and striking out 44. In his Louisville career, the 25-year-old is 5-8 with 11 saves and a 3.40 ERA (49er/129.2ip), recording 54 walks and 137 strikeouts.

- When he debuts, he'll become the first pitcher to make his MLB debut for the 2019 Reds, and the third player overall, joining CF Nick Senzel (5/3) and Josh VanMeter (5/5).

COMEBACK KIDS: Louisville earned its second comeback win in as many nights, overcoming a 6-1 deficit on Sunday to win by a 7-6 score. The Bats used a five-run sixth to tie the game, with Aristides Aquino providing the eventual game-winning home run with a solo shot in the seventh. It's tied for the largest comeback by run differential for the Bats this season, previously accomplishing the feat on May 27 vs. Toledo, winning 10-6 after trailing 5-0.

400 RUNS: With 399 runs on the season, the next Louisville player to cross the plate will register the team's 400th run of 2019. Last season, LOU scored its 400th run of the season on July 21 at Syracuse in the team's 95th game of the season, when Blake Trahan scored on a D.J. Peterson single.

GREAT FINISH: The Bats won their last 2 games of June, snapping a 9-game losing streak, which was their longest since the 2015 season. Louisville finished the month with a 7-21 (.250) record, avoiding the franchise record for the worst winning percentage in a calendar month, still held by the 1991 Redbirds, who went 7-22 (.241) in July.

DON'T WALK ON ME: Louisville pitching did not walk a batter in yesterday's 7-6 win, just the fourth time all season that its opponent failed to draw a base on balls. The Bats improved to 3-1 when not walking a batter, with wins coming on May 19 at Buffalo, June 14 vs. Buffalo and June 30 vs. Columbus, while the only loss came on June 6 at Charlotte.
