Fright Night

It's Friday the 13th and we're feeling festive!

From unique game-night merchandise available in the team store to the uniforms the team is wearing on the ice, tonight's all about spooky season. Thanks to our friends at Portland Gear, the team is rocking some Freddy Krueger-inspired sweaters for the night, and you can get your hands on a replica jersey in the team store!

While you're there, check out some of the other hoodies, t-shirts and more featuring unique Winterhawks designs sure to be a hit at your Halloween party.

Playoff Rematch

As with any good slasher flick, tonight's feature offers a chance for revenge. The Winterhawks are set to battle the team that ended their season last spring for the first time since a 10-4 loss on home ice in Game 4 of that series. This year's veteran group has certainly turned the page, but it's still a safe bet that a win in their first meeting with the Blazers will feel extra sweet for those who played through a tough series last April.

Kamloops has a different look this year as several key players from that playoff squad, including Logan Stankoven, Olen Zellweger, Fraser Minten, Caedan Bankier and Jakub Demek, have made the jump to pro hockey and leave behind a much younger side looking to find its footing in the early season.

Milestone Men

A special night awaits two Hawks as Josh Mori and Jack O'Brien are expected to skate in their 100th and 200th WHL games, respectively!

Mori, an eighth-round pick in 2019, has picked up 15 points in his 99 games thus far while serving as an indispensable utility player throughout the lineup for Mike Johnston's club. The Richmond, B.C. native brings a consistent brand of defense on the ice every night and is known for his positivity off of it. Congrats, Josh!

O'Brien was listed by the Winterhawks alongside fellow 20-year-old James Stefan ahead of the 2019-20 season and immediately became an impact player with 30 points in 55 games as a 16-year-old rookie. Since then, the Denver, Colo. native has racked up 143 points in 199 games, and is in his second season serving as an alternate captain for the Hawks. Congrats, Jack!
