For The Kids
Our second annual Kids' Day presented by SeaBee Construction has arrived! A special matinee start time, some fun activities on the concourse and much more highlight this special game designed for the youngest Winterhawks fans.
You'll notice some sweet new logos on display throughout the game and on social media, courtesy of our friends at First Tee PDX! Thanks for the artistic help, friends! Be sure to stop by concourse booths from First Tee, OMSI and the Oregon Zoo for hands-on games, demonstrations and more - always a blast for fans of all ages!
During the game, we'll have kid-friendly mini-games and big-screen fun for everyone while the Hawks look to pick up two points. Can't wait to get started!
Kickin' It With Kamloops
On the ice, it's another battle with a B.C. foe as Kamloops comes to town. Portland has bested the Blazers (no, not those Blazers) in both meetings thus far with an 11-4 advantage through the two contests. Their last meeting saw Josh Davies net a hat-trick at the Sandman Centre as the Hawks wound down a lengthy road trip with a 7-3 road win on Nov. 8 - who's gonna lead the way tonight?
Gabe Klassen and Luca Cagnoni each boast six points against the Blazers, followed closely by Davies and Stefan with four apiece. Kamloops was active at last week's WHL trade deadline, shipping out a number of productive players including Shea Van Olm, Connor Levis and Dylan Sydor, who had each recorded points against Portland.
Czech Out Who's Back!
After capturing the bronze medal with Team Czechia and being named one of the team's top three players of the tournament at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship, Marek Alscher is back with the Winterhawks! The Florida Panthers prospect made his return to the lineup on Friday after a nine-game absence.
Cheer loud and proud for Alscher before puck drop as he's recognized with his medal! The standout blueliner has been a fan-favorite in his two seasons in the Rose City, and it's another great chance to show some love. Way to go, Alschy!
