
Pats Sign Dayton Deschamps

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats have signed 2007-born defenceman Dayton Deschamps to a Western Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement.
"We are very pleased that Dayton and his family have chosen the Pats and the WHL to pursue his hockey and academic goals," Regina Pats VP, Hockey Operations & GM Alan Millar said. "Dayton has good skill, is a smart player, is very competitive, and brings character and leadership to our team."
Deschamps, 16, was acquired by the Pats from the Saskatoon Blades on December 31, 2023, along with Samuel Barcik, Zach Moore and three draft picks for Alexander Suzdalev. The Saskatoon, Sask. product is currently playing for the Saskatoon Blazers U18 AAA program and has tallied 10 points (5G-5A) in 21 games. The 5-foot-11, 165 lb. left-shot defenceman was drafted by the Blades in the seventh round (147th overall) of the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
The hockey club would like to welcome Dayton and his family to the City of Regina and to the Pats organization.
