The set-up

The Belleville Senators will look to build on its two-game winning streak as they face their North Division rival Syracuse Crunch for the final time this season.

Belleville (26-37-2-3) scored a franchise record eight goals last time out as they beat Laval 8-2 and now sit fifth in the North Division, tied with Laval on 57 points.

Syracuse (42-19-3-4) have already secured a playoff spot and haven't lost in regulation in its past eight games. The Crunch trail Toronto by nine points in the North Division.

Roster notes

Ben Sexton has returned to Belleville after being reassigned by Ottawa after he made his NHL debut while Colin White was subsequently recalled in his place.

The Sens travelled with Danny Taylor, Filip Gustavsson and Marcus Hogberg but expect one of the Sens' two Swedes to start in goal tonight.

Kyle Flanagan, Mike Blunden, Nick Paul, Tyler Randell, Andreas Englund and Francis Perron did not make the trip for Belleville.

Previous history

Belleville is 2-4-0-1 against the Crunch this season but the Senators have failed to win in its previous three contests in Syracuse. The Crunch won 5-2 in the last meeting on Jan. 26 with Belleville last beating Syracuse nine days earlier.

Who to watch

Max Reinhart has had a solid half dozen games for the Senators as he's tallied six points (two goals) over that duration. Reinhart has notched 11 goals and 23 points in 63 games this season.

In his rookie year, Mathieu Joseph has excelled as he has 50 points (14 goals) in 64 games. His 50 points are tied for third for rookies this season.
