Sabres Recall Wilcox from Rochester

(Rochester, NY) - The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled goaltender Adam Wilcox from the Rochester Americans (AHL). In a related move, the Amerks have recalled goaltender Jason Kasdorf from the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.

Wilcox (6'0", 189 lbs., 11/26/1992) joins the Sabres for his first recall of the season after signing as an unrestricted free agent on July 1. Currently in his fourth professional season, Wilcox has posted an 11-7-7 record with a .903 save percentage and a 2.82 goals-against average in 28 games for the Amerks this season.

A native of South St. Paul, Minnesota, Wilcox has played in 104 career AHL contests, posting a 45-34-22 record with a .901 save percentage and a 2.87 goals-against average.

Kasdorf, 25, earns his first recall of the season after posting a 13-11-1 record with a 3.04 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage in 28 games for the Cyclones in 2017-18. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the second-year goaltender appeared in three games with the Amerks last season, going 0-3-0 with a 5.75 goals-against average and a .828 save percentage.

Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound netminder completed a four-year collegiate career at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (R.P.I.), posting a record of 38-37-9 in 88 games to go along with 2.39 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage.

Kasdorf was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the sixth round (157th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
